MANILA––RR Pogoy was due for another solid offensive showing in Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals until a hamstring injury forced him to sit out the rest of the way.

However, Calvin Oftana took the chance to lead TNT this time.

Oftana came alive for the Tropang 5G as he led them to a 111-103 overtime win against the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The six-foot-five swingman helped save TNT in regulation by scoring the team's last five points within the final 1:20, including three free throws with seven seconds remaining to eventually force overtime.

He then gave the team the lead for good with a go-ahead triple with three and a half minutes remaining in the extension before once again scoring the needed points in crunch time to seal the win.

Oftana finished with 39 points on 13-of-22 shooting, nine rebounds, one steal, and three blocks for the Tropang 5G, now 2-0 up against the Elasto Painters in the best-of-seven series to further boost their grand slam drive.

Jordan Heading added 13 points, six rebounds, 11 assists, and two steals.
