PBA: Jason Perkins, Ken Tuffin drop career-highs as Phoenix finishes season strong, rips Blackwater

MANILA--Phoenix put a solid closure to its PBA season with a 124-109 blowout win against Blackwater on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Behind career-high performances from Jason Perkins and Ken Tuffin, the Fuel Masters made quick work of the Bossing, opening a 39-19 first quarter lead and extending it to as high as 25 points before settling for a 15-point win.

Perkins led Phoenix, which capped its Philippine Cup campaign with back-to-back wins to move up ot 4-7, with 39 points on 14-of-20 shooting including a perfect 3-for-3 on threes, four rebounds, and five assists.

Tuffin added 29 points on 9-of-11 shooting including 4-of-5 on threes, 14 rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Tyler Tio and Kai Ballungay each chipped in 14 markers with the latter also tallying 14 boards.

Richard Escoto put up 20 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal to lead Blackwater, which fell to 2-9 to end its own campaign in the season-ending conference.
