MANILA––TNT kept its momentum going in the PBA Philippine Cup with a 108-82 rout against Blackwater on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Tropang 5G pulled away in the second and third quarters as they hit 30 points or more in each of the two periods, while crippling the Bossing on defense.
Simon Enciso went 5-for-7 from three-point range to lead TNT, now on a six-game winning streak to tie Ginebra and Rain or Shine for third place at 6-3, with 19 points alongside one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
Kelly Williams added 15 points, seven rebounds, and one assist as the Tropang 5G got a morale booster ahead of their crucial showdown against the Gin Kings on Sunday night, also at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, with huge stipulations in the race for a Top 4 finish in the eliminations.
Christian David and Sedrick Barefield each scored 13 points, with David also tallying 13 rebounds for Blackwater, which fell to 1-8.
