June Mar Fajardo wins 12th PBA BPC award

PASAY--June Mar Fajardo solidified his status as one of the greatest players in PBA history as he won his 12th Best Player of the Conference award in ninth in the Philippine Cup on Sunday night before Game 4 of the finals between San Miguel and TNT at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Ahead in the statistical points department after the semifinals, Fajardo, already a member of the PBA's 50 Greatest Players, also dominated the votes from the media and the players to win a five-way battle against fellow Beerman CJ Perez, NLEX Road Warrior Robert Bolick, Magnolia Hotshot Zav Lucero, and Phoenix Fuel Master Jason Perkins.

Fajardo got 489 SPs, a perfect 505 points from the media after getting a unanimous first place vote, and 91 points from the media for a total of 1,085 points.

Perez was second with 704 points anchored by an almost unanimous second place vote from the media, while Bolick was third with 562.

Lucero was fourth with 459 points, while Perkins rounded up the Top 5 with 441.

Fajardo also received PHP50,000 from award sponsor Pocari Sweat.
