MANILA--Eumir Marcial and Mark Magsayo scored varying wins in the undercard to the Manny Pacquiao-Mario Barrios bout on Sunday (Philippine Time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Marcial was the first to add someone to his list of victims, knocking out Bernard Joseph.
Supposedly an eight-round affair, the 2021 Olympic bronze medalist wasted no time in dominating his opponent, finishing him off in the third round with two left hooks.
Marcial remains perfect in his pro career with a 6-0 record, winning his fourth bout via knockout.
On the other hand, Magsayo dominated Jorge Mata to capture the WBC Continental Americas super featherweight title.
Magsayo earned a perfect 100 from two judges in his 10-round showdown against Mata, while a third judge had it 98-92 also for the Filipino former world champ.
Magsayo, who moved up to 28-2 with his fourth straight win, is now in line for a possible world title shot.
