MANILA--Rain or Shine made the most out of coach Chot Reyes' absence to destroy TNT with a 113-97 win in Game 5 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Elasto Painters pulled away in the third quarter by outscoring the Tropang 5G, 37-12, to open a 93-64 lead.

With no Reyes, who was serving his one-game suspension for accumulative technical fouls, to right the ship during and after the third quarter collapse, TNT quickly fizzled.

Gian Mamuyac led ROS, which sent the best-of-seven series to a Game 6 after chopping TNT's lead down to 3-2, with 22 points, one rebound, three assists, and three steals.

Jhonard Clarito added 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block.

Calvin Oftana led the Tropang 5G with 23 points on 8-of-16 field goals, two rebounds, and one assist, while Simon Enciso added 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, two rebounds, and two assists.
