MANILA--Rain Or Shine rocked the PBA community on Tuesday by announcing the signing of Stanley Pringle.

Coach Yeng Guiao later confirmed that Pringle, who became a free agent at the end of the Terrafirma Dyip's PBA Philippine Cup campaign, signed a two-year deal to move to the Elasto Painters.

In a move only a few probably saw coming, Pringle, who at age 38 still showed that he can be an effective player this season with Terrafirma, will add veteran smarts to a loaded guard roster for ROS led by Andrei Caracut and Adrian Nocum.

That also means, though, that the Dyip or whoever becomes the new owner of the franchise will not have Pringle as part of the roster that will be inherited lock, stock, and barrel if a franchise sale has been completed.

The Zamboanga Valientes, the frontrunners to buy the Terrafirma franchise, had until Friday to complete the purchase.

Dyip governor Bobby Rosales will share the latest update about the franchise sale on Thursday in a PBA board meeting.

Pringle, though, did not wait for the latest in Terrafirma's future and made the move to ROS.
