QUEZON CITY--Team Liquid and NaVi Philippines clinched two of the first four spots in the MLBB Women's Invitational quarterfinals after prevailing in three-game thrillers against their respective opponents on Wednesday at the SNB Esports Arena in Riyadh.
Liquid booked a playoff berth after bouncing back from a Game 1 defeat to edge out NaVi Malaysia, 2-1.
Liquid dominated the last two games to complete the reverse sweep.
On the other hand, NaVi PH bounced back from a shock Game 2 defeat to turn back Terror Queens, 2-1.
NaVi PH appeared to be on course for a blowout win after ripping TQ in Game 1, 19-0, in kills and reclaiming the record as the MWI's fastest finish ever with a 9:37 clock-in, just one second faster than Team Vitality's 9:38 finish in Game 1 of its Tuesday clash against Twisted Minds Orchid.
However, TQ banked on a rushed gameplay to steal Game 2 and force Game 3, only for NaVi PH to bounce back mightily in the decider.
Team Vitality was the first to seal its place in the quarterfinals, sweeping Falcons Vega MENA, 2-0.
The last Top 4 seed is being disputed by Onic Pertiwi and FUT Esports as of posting.
