SMB overpowers Ginebra in 2nd half to tie PBA PH Cup semis anew

MANDALUYONG--San Miguel came alive in the second half to bring down Ginebra, 107-82, in Game 4 of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals on Wednesday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

After conceding 51 points in the first half, the Beermen limited the Gin Kings to just 31 the rest of the way while keeping their offensive intensity with 57 of their own to pull away for good.

CJ Perez led SMB, which forced a 2-2 deadlock in the best-of-seven series, with 19 points, five rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block.

Juami Tiongson added 14 points on four threes, while June Mar Fajardo, Rodney Brondial, and Jericho Cruz each chipped in 12 markers.

Fajardo, back in the starting lineup despite playing with a minor calf tear, also grabbed 19 rebounds with one block, showing that he remains dominant amid the injury.

Troy Rosario made 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, seven rebounds, and one assist for Ginebra.
