MANILA--The northern lights are set to shine brighter as Dylan "Light" Catipon joins Aurora Philippines for MPL Philippines Season 16.
As announced on Monday night, Catipon will be the team's new starting roamer, replacing Renejay Bacarse, who is already with the PKL.
Save for Catipon, Aurora remains almost intact: Edward Dapadap as EXP laner, Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto as jungler, Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo as midlaner, and Dominic "Domengkite" Del Mundo as gold laner.
Catipon's arrival marks a reunion with Caranto, who were teammates with RSG Philippines last year.
Fresh from their loan spell with Aurora Turkiye for the MLBB Midseason Cup, Aniel "Master The Basics" Jiandani and Dexter "Dex Star" Alaba return to Aurora PH's coaching staff, rejoining analyst Justin "Calad" Limbo.
Aurora was on top of the standings for most of MPL Philippines Season 15, but could not translate its early dominance into playoff success and fell to fourth place at the end of the season.
In what would be its last stand with Bacarse, Aurora was stunned by the former Onic Nine Lives squad in the SIBOL SEA Games Qualifiers semifinals.
