MAKATI--Aurora Philippines prevailed in the longest game so far in MPL Philippines Season 16 to seal a 2-1 win against Team Liquid Philippines on Friday night at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom.
In an epic Game 3 that lasted nearly 27 minutes, Aurora PH, pushed to the brink of an endgame collapse, scored a crucial clash win, taking down three Liquid PH players while trying to complete an evolved Lord push.
Although they lost two of their own, Aurora PH decided to go for it, and with Dylan "Light" Catipon's Hylos leading the final charge with a Glorious Path onto the Liquid PH base, Aurora PH called game just in time before Catipon made the sacrifice.
Aurora PH moved up to 1-1, while Liquid PH, in an interesting scenario three matches in, dropped to 1-2.
