MANILA--While they still had to deal with their Week 4 opponents, AP Bren was already looking forward to Week 5, which is more than just the start of the second round of MPL Philippines Season 16.

The Project Next patch will be officially used for the rest of the season, starting on Friday night.

This means some heroes will be adjusted in hopes of balancing gameplay, with the addition of the new marksman option, Obsidia.

"May bagong patch na feel ko lahat ng teams, magre-reset, so kailangan lang namin na mabilis maka-adapt," AP Bren head coach Jeff Manforte said.

Aware that they would have to play with the new patch moving forward, Manforte revealed that they have already begun playing scrimmages in the "advanced server".

Aside from the usual main server, Mobile Legends Bang Bang has an advanced server, which somehow serves as a testing area for players who want to get an early glimpse of what to expect in the next patch before its official rollout.

"Nakita na namin yung patch actually sa advanced server. Kailangan lang namin na hatiin yung normal training plus nagtre-training kami ng parating na patch, which is kailangan naming maglaro sa advanced server. Para makita namin yung patch, kailangan naming maglaro sa advanced server," Manforte further said.

He added that AP Bren has been playing in the advanced server for quite a while now, giving them some sort of an advantage before it was officially unveiled on Wednesday.

AP Bren won't be playing until Saturday, though, which means they have more time to continue grinding in the new patch, especially in the official server.
