PASAY--One night after steering the wheel for the South Division All-Stars in the MPBL All-Star Game, Judel Fuentes could find his way to the PBA soon as he was drafted in the fourth round of the draft on Sunday night at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Fuentes, who was named the MVP of the pre-playoff classic after dropping most of his 18 points in the pivotal fourth quarter, went to NLEX with the 40th overall pick.
The Quezon Huskers star now needs to show his worth with the Road Warriors for a chance to crack their lineup.
Fuentes' fellow South All-Star Kyle Tolentino also got drafted by Rain or Shine at number 45 overall.
Except for Ginebra, which already passed by the third round, all the remaining teams in the draft were still looking for some players in the fourth.
Terrafirma picked Dolan Adlawan 36th overall to start Round 4, while Phoenix picked Aldave Canoy at number 37.
Blackwater opted for James Una for its fourth round selection, while NorthPort drafted Bryan Sajonia next.
Magnolia opted for Joshua Yerro, Meralco drafted six-foot-nine center Ladis Lepalam, and Converge went for JM Manalang.
San Miguel picked Justine Guevarra, while TNT selected Joe Celzo to close out Round 4.
