MANILA--Lance "LanceCy" Cunanan spoiled a happy ending to a sensational first round of Twisted Minds Philippines in MPL Philippines Season 16 after securing a pivotal Lord steal to complete a reverse sweep for a 2-1 win on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom in Makati.
On the verge of a Game 3 collapse after losing a dominating start, Cunanan delivered the clutch moment after he snuck into Twisted Minds PH's evolved Lord quest and scored the last hit, sacrificing himself in the process.
TNC, though, got three kills during the Lord fight and marched its way to the Twisted Minds PH base for the finish.
TNC, who forced a Game 3 after winning Game 2, moved up to 3-3 in the standings, giving the team a huge boost ahead of its first round finale against Onic Philippines on Sunday night.
Twisted Minds PH, on the other hand, dropped three of its last four matches to end the first round after a sensational 3-0 start.
