LOS BANOS--Obsidia came to AP Bren's rescue as the team pulled off a huge upset against Onic Philippines in a rare Monday night MPL Philippines battle at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom in Makati.
Jan "Shizou" Valdez became the first MPL PH player to draft the new Mobile Legends Bang Bang hero in the series-clinching Game 2, where AP Bren dominated Onic PH to complete the sweep.
What dictated the tempo for AP Bren in Game 2, though, was the duo of "Lord JM" Sebastian and Denniel "XNova" Gomez, providing the frontline muscle to dominate Onic PH all game long.
The win pushed AP Bren to a tie for sixth place with TNC at 4-6 with two weeks left in the regular season.
Onic PH, on the other hand, dropped to 6-4 as its bid for a Top 2 seed suffered a critical hit.
