| Finally, a second win for Team Falcons Philippines. Richard Esguerra |
PUERTO PRINCESA--"Super Marco" Requitiano came to the rescue for Team Falcons Philippines as the team put an end to the losing streak that brought them to the bottom of the MPL Philippines standings against the same team where the skid started, Twisted Minds Philippines, with a 2-1 win on Saturday night at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom in Makati.
Pummeled in the early into Game 3 by Mico "Nosia" Guevarra's Granger, Requitiano, using Moskov, began his endgame revenge by getting a kill on Michael "MP The King" Endino to stop Twisted Minds PH from completing a middle lane push with Team Falcons down, 3-16, on kills and more than 10,300 golds in deficit.
Just after Falcons PH gave up the second Lord, Requitiano connected on a Spear of Destruction and scored a triple kill against Endino, Miguel "Sionnn" Alcantara, and Lance "Lansu" Misa to seal a 4-for-3 kill exchange favoring the team.
Requitiano, despite losing Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson in the team fight, delayed Twisted Minds PH's bid to take the Lord by getting another double kill.
Despite eventually letting go of the evolved Lord, Requitiano delivered another double kill to once again win the clash.
With the momentum on its side now, Falcons PH decided to go for it at the bottom lane, and the team completed the needed wipeout to claim the Game 3 win.
Falcons PH won for the first time since its opening night victory against league-leading Aurora Philippines and moved up to 2-7.
Twisted Minds PH, on the other hand, fell to .500 with its fourth loss in its last five matches.
