MANILA—Twisted Minds Philippines snapped their slump with a dominant 2-0 sweep of AP Bren in their MPL Philippines Season 16 Round 2 clash on Sunday night at the Green Sun Hotel Ballroom in Makati.

Down by nearly 6,000 gold in the first game, Twisted Minds bided their time before turning the match around during the ninth-minute lord fight.

A full-team wipeout against Bren not only secured the lord but also erased the gold deficit for Twisted Minds.

Bren answered with a lord push at the 14-minute mark, but Lance "Lansu" Misa, using Gloo, swung momentum back by catching three players with his Slam Slam and Split Split combo.

That clash ended in a three-for-none trade and set up Twisted Minds for another pickoff sequence that led to a second lord and a decisive push.

Twisted Minds sealed the opener off the back of that midlane siege.

Game two saw a different script, with Twisted Minds controlling the tempo from the early stages and shutting down Bren’s map presence.

Despite losing Michael "MPtheKing" Endino on Baxia to a full collapse from Bren, Twisted Minds powered through with a midlane push to close the series.

Twisted Minds, composed of four MDL champions and an MPL Cambodia champion, now moves up to 5-4.

On the other hand, AP Bren quickly dropped right after a winning an instant classic against Smart Omega on Saturday, falling to 3-6 after enduring several roster overhauls in the past year.
