MANILA––Jose Rizal University found an unsung hero in Allan Laurenaria as it stole a 67-66 win against San Beda in their NCAA men's basketball battle on Friday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Laurenaria, who scored all of his six points within the last four minutes of the game, broke past the Red Lions' defense for what would be the game-winning layup for the Heavy Bombers with 2.1 seconds left.

Bryan Sajonia tried one last gasp to win it for San Beda, but he airballed his baseline jumper, and Laurenaria grabbed the rebound as time expired on his team to complete a fourth-quarter comeback.

Sean Salvador continued his solid rookie campaign for JRU as he led the team, which tied its victim at 2-1, with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal off the bench.

Justin Lozano added 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Sajonia finished with 16 points, three rebounds, and one assist for San Beda.
