LOS BANOS--JM Bravo stepped up for Terrafirma as the squad pulled off a 97-91 shocker against NLEX in their PBA Philippine Cup game on Sunday night at the Ynares Center 1 in Antipolo.

The former Lyceum Pirate, chosen in the sixth round of last month's draft, proved why he deserved to crack the Dyip lineup, leading them with 18 points, eight rebounds, and one assist.

However, none was more important than his dagger backdoor basket with 12.3 seconds left that gave Terrafirma a two-possession lead after Xyrus Torres missed a four-pointer that could have tied the game, as NLEX's comeback from 16 points down fell short in the end.

Jerrick Ahanmisi added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal for the Dyip, who bounced back from a blowout loss to the Blackwater Bossing and moved up to 1-1, tying their victims.

Torres and JB Bahio each scored 14 markers for the Road Warriors, with the latter grabbing 11 boards for the double-double.

Anthony Semerad also tallied a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds alongside two steals.
