MANILA--After leading Pangasinan to a shock run to the MPBL North Division Finals, Vic Manuel earned a much-deserved return to the PBA.

Manuel's agent, Danny Espiritu, confirmed to Dugout Philippines a Tiebreaker Times report that the bruiser is joining Converge.

Manuel first posted a photo of himself showing what would be his jersey once he makes a homecoming of sorts.

The six-foot-four, muscular forward played for the FiberXers' predecessors, the Alaska Aces, from 2014-2020, where he enjoyed his best PBA years.

Converge bought the Alaska franchise in 2022, and by that time, Manuel was already with San Miguel, where he won his only two PBA championships.

According to Espiritu, Manuel has joined the FiberXers for the rest of the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup.

This means Manuel, who last played for Terrafirma last season, will get to play a minimum of two games for Converge, starting with a very important match against NLEX on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

With both teams tied at 6-4, whoever wins between the FiberXers and Road Warriors, both already assured of quarterfinal seats, will keep their hopes of landing a twice-to-beat advantage in the next round alive.

The losing team, on the other hand, will drop out of the Top 4 race, which means they have to beat their quarterfinal opponent twice while trying to avoid dropping another game to move to the semifinals.
