ANTIPOLO--Jordan Heading came alive for TNT as he led the team to a 119-100 blowout win against NLEX in their PBA Philippine Cup duel on Saturday night at the Ynares Center 1.
In a battle for playoff positioning between teams that lost key players to Gilas Pilipinas' Southeast Asian Games campaign, Heading played his best game for the Tropang 5G, exploding for 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting with five rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
Calvin Oftana added 19 points on 8-of-15 field goals and five rebounds for TNT, which formally clinched a spot in the quarterfinals and replaced NLEX in the three-way tie for third place at 6-3.
JB Bahio and Kevin Alas each scored 13 points for the Road Warriors, whose bid for a twice-to-beat advantage in the next round as they fell to sixth place at 6-4.
