PBA: Ginebra waylays Terrafirma in prelude to crucial Bahrain battle vs ROS

MANILA—Ginebra wasted no time in adding more frustrations to also-ran Terrafirma with a 108-77 blowout win in their PBA Philippine Cup duel on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Gin Kings quickly imposed their will on the Dyip with a 25-13 first quarter, and they never looked back from there.

With the outcome already settled a bit too early, coach Tim Cone once again emptied his bench, leading to 61 points from the substitutes.

Joshua David Ginebra's bench mob with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

Norbert Torres added 13 markers on 4-of-8 field goals, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.

Troy Rosario also had 13 points to lead the starters alongside five rebounds and one assist as his team moved up to 5-4 ahead of a huge showdown against Rain or Shine early Thursday (Philippine Time) in Manama, Bahrain.

Paolo Hernandez put up 15 points, four rebounds, one assist, and three steals, while JM Bravo added 10 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals for Terrafirma, which dropped to 1-9.
