MANILA--Fresh from providing key contributions to Gilas Pilipinas' successful campaign in the Southeast Asian Games, Ced Manzano is now tasked to finally give Quezon the championship gold it is hoping for.
The burly center is joining the Huskers after signing a one-year contract ahead of the MPBL's upcoming season beginning March.
Team owner Donn Kapunan posted a picture of him meeting with Manzano to formalize the acquisition on his Facebook account on Wednesday.
Manzano will quickly reunite with his former head coach at Adamson, Nash Racela, who is currently Quezon's team consultant.
Manzano's arrival came very timely as the Huskers recently let go of Ximone Sandagon, who already signed with the Blackwater Bossing in the PBA.
Quezon made the MPBL National Finals on back-to-back occasions in 2024 and 2025, but the team fell prey to eventual champions Pampanga and Abra.
The Huskers will now pin their inside scoring hopes on Manzano, who was a surprise package for Gilas in their SEA Games stint, even providing vital contributions in its gold medal game win against Thailand.
