ANTIPOLO—San Miguel bounced back from its Game 1 heartbreak with a demolition job in Game 2, winning 111-92 in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals on Friday night at the Ynares Center 1.

The Beermen quickly asserted control with a 30-point first quarter before opening a 12-point lead at the end of the opening period.

They then stifled the Tropang 5G further in the second quarter as the lead ballooned to 24, 57-33, at halftime.

TNT tried to put up a comeback in the second half, trimming the lead down to 10, 95-85, with 2:26 left in the fourth quarter, but SMB weathered the storm and pulled away again for good.

Don Trollano led the Beermen, who tied the best-of-seven series at one game apiece, with 22 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 5-for-5 on two-pointers, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

June Mar Fajardo added 17 points, 16 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal.

Rey Nambatac led the Tropang 5G with 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting, one assist, and two steals.
