MANILA--Team Liquid finally earned its place in the knockout rounds of the M7 World Championship after sweeping the surprising Yangon Galacticos, 2-0, in the fourth round of the Swiss stages on Thursday night at the XO Arena in Jakarta.

Sanford Vinuya wreaked havoc at the mid-to-late-game point of Game 1 as his Yu Zhong became an unstoppable force.

With Vinuya as the pacer, Liquid made the most of the evolved Lord and finished the series opener after 21 and a half minutes.

In Game 2, Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno quickly established his might with the Yi Sun-Shin, and Liquid completed a wipeout in the first Lord fight to build a huge lead.

Kiel "Oheb" Soriano then finished the job with his patented Granger gameplay, going on a godlike streak to punish Yangon.

Liquid's win ensured that MPL Philippines would be well represented in the playoffs, hours after Aurora Gaming Philippines entered the knockout rounds as well.

Yangon, on the other hand, will await the results of Friday's do-or-die matches to determine its opponent in the final round of the Swiss stages.
