MANILA--World-class 3x3 basketball action is set to come back to the Philippines as FIBA announced on Tuesday night that the country will host one leg of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.

The Philippines, in particular, will hold Leg 2 of the Women's Series on May 7-8, sandwiched between two Chinese stops in Chengdu and Shanghai.

FIBA also has two more Southeast Asian stops for the Women's Series in Singapore and Bangkok in August.

The initially 21-event calendar will conclude with the season finale in Shanghai on Sept. 5-6, but FIBA said, "After this first announcement, FIBA expects that additional stops will be included in the 2026 season."

The FIBA 3x3 Women's Series was inaugurated in 2019, pitting national women's 3x3 teams, but the participation was eventually expanded to club teams as well.
