PASAY--China stormed back late in the fourth quarter to clip Chinese Taipei, 100-93, in their FIBA World Cup Qualifiers match-up on Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Forced to play on neutral grounds due to the escalating political tensions between China and Taiwan, the Chinese players stole the thunder from their Taiwanese rivals after finishing the game on a 9-0 run within the last 2:12.

Zhu Junlong led China, now tied with South Korea for second place in Group B after the latter suffered a 72-78 loss to Japan, with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, four rebounds, and two assists, while Hu Jinqiu added 15 points, six rebounds, and one assist.

Ray Chen fired 26 points, three rebounds, four assists, and one steal for Chinese Taipei, which dropped to fourth place at 1-3.
