QUEZON CITY--Twisted Minds Philippines prevented a complete overturn of its solid MPL Philippines Season 16 start by edging Smart Omega, 2-1, in their Season 17 first round battle on Friday night at the Victoria Sports Tower.
Twisted Minds PH banked on its damage scaling down the stretch to obliterate Smart Omega despite conceding the first two Lords.
Following a 3-for-1 clash win, Twisted Minds PH took down the inhibitor turret at the middle lane and secured the evolved Lord, setting up the endable push.
Starting Season 16 at 3-0, Twisted Minds PH averted falling to an early 0-3 hole and won for the first time this season.
Smart Omega, on the other hand, fell to 0-2.
