QUEZON CITY—The PBA slapped suspensions on Glenn Khobuntin and Jaylen Johnson after they figured in a brawl during the Friday night game between TNT and Rain Or Shine at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The league announced on Saturday that Khobuntin and Johnson will not see action in their next games as a penalty for exchanging punches with 6:20 left in the said clash.

The Tropang 5G's hardworking winger, though, gets a heavier punishment as he will be out for two games for instigating the commotion.

“Sobrang nagsisisi. Maluha-luha,” commissioner Willie Marcial described Khobuntin's emotions when the league executive summoned him to his office.

“Nagpapa-sorry siya kay Johnson. Tsaka sa lahat, sa fans, sa PBA family. Mag-apologize din siya sa mga teammates niya pagpunta niya ng practice.”

Khobuntin, who was also fined ₱70,000, will miss TNT's next games against NLEX on Sunday night and San Miguel next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Johnson will serve his one-game ban next Friday when the Elasto Painters battle the Meralco Bolts also at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Johnson led ROS in scoring against TNT with 33 points, a void the Elasto Painters will need to fill as they are forced to play all-Filipino against Marvin Jones and the Bolts.

Johnson, known to be a cooler head even during his days in the KBL, was also meted a ₱50,000 fine for getting at it with Khobuntin.
