MANILA--Rain or Shine made PBA history on Tuesday night after ripping off Blackwater with a 151-95 rout at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Leading from start to finish, the Elasto Painters quickly blew the game wide open after outscoring the Bossing, 42-15, at the end of the first quarter with Andrei Caracut erupting for 18 points.

The lead continued to balloon until ROS was up by 58, 151-93, with a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

Although Cliff Jopia hit the last basket for Blackwater, the team did not escape league-wide infamy as ROS's 56-point endgame lead is now the biggest margin ever in the PBA's 51-year history, breaking U-Tex's 55-point rout of Great Taste in 1980.

Caracut finished with 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, one rebound, and three assists for the Elasto Painters, who remain undefeated at 4-0 ahead of the Holy Week break.

Jaylen Johnson, back after serving a one-game suspension, added 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and one steal, while Santi Santillan had 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Robert Upshaw led Blackwater, which dropped to 1-3, with 24 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
