MANILA--Magnolia is starting to get its rhythm going in the PBA Commissioner's Cup with new import Clint Chapman manning the interior, adding the then streaking Terrafirma squad to its victims with an 85-70 blowout on Tuesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Hotshots, known for putting a premium on defense over the years, shut down the Dyip in the second half, holding them to just 28 points, 14 in each of the last two quarters, to pull away from a tight first half.

Chapman finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal for Magnolia, now with back-to-back wins after a 0-3 start.

Both wins came right after Chapman replaced Nuni Omot as import.

Zav Lucero added 13 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and three blocks.

Jerrick Ahanmisi went to work just two nights after seeing action for Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup and led Terrafirma, now with back-to-back defeats after a shock 3-0 start, with 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists off the bench.

Ali Mubashar added 18 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, and one block, but he too committed six turnovers.
