MANILA—Bol Bol left the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay early in Game 2 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals between TNT and Meralco on Friday night.
Bol fell down clutching his left foot with 2:38 left in the first quarter after the Tropang 5G secured the ball.
Teammates carried the seven-foot-three beanpole out of the hardwood and into their dugout as he continued to grimace in pain.
He would be stretchered out of the venue for an MRI, but according to courtside reporter Nadj Miravalles, TNT's physical therapists suspected that Bol popped his left Achilles tendon.
Before the injury, Bol played the full first 9:22 of the game and was on track for another dominating performance with 10 points, six rebounds, and one block.
The locals would now have to step up in Bol's absence as they look for ways to contain Marvin Jones, whose job got easier with his fellow import out of the game.
