PBA: Justin Arana stretches brilliance to lead Converge past Macau

MANILA—Justin Arana exploded for the second straight game to lead Converge to a 149-124 blowout win against Macau in their PBA Governors' Cup duel on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

After dropping 31 points against the Terrafirma Dyip in their last game, Arana led the FiberXers anew with a career-high 39 points on 18 of 24 shooting as they pulled away late in the third quarter and the entire fourth period to repulse the slumping Giant Pandas.

Arana added 12 rebounds and three assists as Converge remains unbeaten three games into the conference.

Mikey Williams added 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, and one block, while Juan Gomez De Liaño low-key flirted with a triple-double with 10 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds off the bench.

Ramon Cao led Macau, which dropped to 0-3, with 41 points on 12 of 24 field goals, including 5 of 9 on four-pointers, eight rebounds, and three assists.

De'Vondre Perry added 35 points on 12-for-20 shooting, 15 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one block.

Kobey Lam contributed 26 points on 9 of 17 field goals, two rebounds, and four assists.
