MANILA—RHJ is back with TNT.
The older one, that is.
Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson is set for a second tour of duty with the Tropang 5G as he will replace Darius Days.
Team manager Jojo Lastimosa confirmed the development, but despite another off night in which he only tallied 10 points on 4-for-19 shooting against Converge on Tuesday, it may have little to do with Days' struggles in the PBA Governors' Cup.
Earlier in the day, the Illawarra Hawks announced that Days will return to them for the upcoming NBL Australia season.
The six-foot-six forward was part of Illawarra's 2025 championship team before playing in Puerto Rico, Japan, and eventually the Philippines.
In comes Hollis-Jefferson again, who was TNT's import during the 2024 Governors' Cup and the EASL.
Rahlir actually joined forces with younger brother Rondae in the EASL campaign, and the former took over for the remainder of the Governors' Cup after the latter was sidelined due to an injury.
Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, who arrived earlier Tuesday, is set to play on Saturday night against San Miguel at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Expect his stint to be short-lived, though, as the Tropang 5G are keen on activating Rondae sometime later in the conference.
The younger Hollis-Jefferson is nearing his return to action from an Achilles injury he suffered last year while playing for Meralco in the EASL.
