MANILA—Falling to the wrong side of Titan Ultra's first win of the PBA Governors' Cup in their previous affair, TNT assured a repeat would not happen with a 114-80 blowout in their Saturday night rematch at the Ynares Center Montalban in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The Tropang 5G did not give the Giant Risers a chance to at least inch closer, quickly blowing the game wide open with a 34-21 first quarter lead.
The pummeling continued until TNT finished the game with the largest lead at 34 points.
Jordan Heading led the Tropang 5G, who moved up to 4-3 in the standings, with 23 points on 9 of 16 field goals, including 4 of 8 on threes, two rebounds, and five assists.
Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson and Brandon Rosser each added 19 markers, with the import grabbing 12 rebounds and the stretch big going 8-for-11 from the field.
Tirrell Brown had a quiet 14 points with 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks for the Giant Risers, who dropped to 2-6.
