MANILA—Just like in Week 5, Team Liquid Philippines will be playing in all game days for the final week of the MPL Philippines regular season.
However, unlike in Week 5, when they played on back-to-back-to-back nights, the defending champs will get a one-day break.
The premier esports league will not hold matches on Saturday night to give way to the celebration of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's 10th anniversary.
The fact that the anniversary celebration will fall on 10/10 makes it even more special.
MPL PH fans need not worry about the Saturday break, as they can drop by the Market Market Activity Center in Taguig to join MLBB's 10th anniversary celebration there.
The anniversary event, formally named "All In MLBB", will open on Thursday and will run until Sunday.
Speaking of Thursday, to make way for the 10/10 celebration, MPL PH adjusted its Week 8, adding one more match to its Friday schedule and opening the week with a rare Thursday doubleheader.
Liquid PH begins its post-Asian Games grind against winless Twisted Minds to begin the Thursday treat at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City.
TNC, on the other hand, looks to seal the last ride to the PhilSports Arena in Pasig for the playoffs against Onic Philippines in the nightcap.
AP Bren, the other team chasing the postseason spot, will face Smart Omega to open the rare Friday tripleheader, followed by the TNC-Team Falcons and Liquid PH-Onic PH showdowns.
The Liquid PH-Onic PH nightcap will have a significant bearing on the race for the last upper bracket seat.
The final night of the regular season will see Aurora Gaming Philippines battling Twisted Minds, and Falcons taking on Liquid PH in the showdown that could potentially decide which team will enter the Top 6 phase as the number one seed.
