PARAÑAQUE--One Championship welterweight title challenger Luis Santos on Thursday responded to defending holder Ben Askren's statement to Dugout Philippines.
"We wanna see tomorrow," Santos said in Portuguese following his reaction to Askren's words that he will stop him in the main event of the Valor of Champion fight card at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Asked if he can counter Askren's "unique skill set", Santos answered, "I am a complete athlete. I will come at him [on Friday night]."
Santos, who once challenged Askren for the Bellator welterweight championship four years ago, also said that he will surprise his foe at the main event.
Santos has yet to be beaten in the last three years, scoring six of his last seven wins by early stoppages.
