MANILA--Kenneth Duremdes' tenure as Adamson's head coach came to an end on Sunday.

According to a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer's Jasmine Payo, the former King Falcon and PBA star was relieved of his duties as the Soaring Falcons' mentor citing a statement from team manager Gilbert Cruz.

A formal announcement will be expected soon, but no candidates for the coaching job has been released.

Under Duremdes, Adamson only won once in last year's UAAP season and finished in last place.

The Soaring Falcons appeared to have shown promise in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup after beating the USJR Jaguars in their season opener on May 13 but later lost four straight games and five of their last six. They failed to maintain a double-digit halftime lead and fell to fellow UAAP side FEU Tamaraws on Saturday.
