MANILA--GlobalPort's Stanley Pringle put on a late show on Friday night against Star, and that explosion gave him the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award as announced on Monday.

Pringle sizzled for nearly half of the Batang Pier's 27 fourth quarter to help them maul the Hotshots, 101-94, on Friday night.

Coach Pido Jarencio said after the game that Pringle, the first pick of last year's draft, always gives his 100 percent but can still blend with Terrence Romeo, who is fast becoming GlobalPort's it guy, pretty well.

“Ang maganda kasi kay Stan, he’s all-out pag pumasok na sa court, and para sa kanya, walang sapawan (with Romeo) though lagi ko naman nire-remind sa team na pagnanalo tayo, sama-sama tayo dito, at ganun din pag natalo tayo,” the fiery mentor described how Pringle is still able to become the other half of the Batang Pier's 1-2 punch with Romeo.

Pringle edged out NLEX's Sean Anthony and Alaska's Vic Manuel for the said award, and Jarencio hopes the spitfire guard will continue his resurgence as GlobalPort returns from an eight-day rest to take on Barako Bull on Sunday.
