PARAÑAQUE--Rolando Dy told Dugout Philippines his gratitude to PXC for giving him a good headstart to his stint as a featherweight.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa PXC na binigyan ako ng tuneup fight. They are giving me a very tough opponent. Sa April 2, babalik ako sa Solaire," the MMA sensation told Dugout Philippines after pipping Miguel Mosquera on Saturday night.

But while calling his match a "tuneup" may not sound pleasing to an opponent's ear after suffering a beatdown, Dy clarified, "Mosquera is about my level [in terms of efficiency]."

He also said that while his "lechon" statement drew laughs from the Solaire crowd, his joke was somewhat half-meant.

"For now, good ako sa 145. Mahirap siyang i-cut, pero hindi siya ganun kahirap sa 135," the son of boxing legend Rolando Navarette said about him getting more comfortable fighting as a featherweight.

However, Dy hinted that the featherweight level will likely be his prime weight class.

He particularly uttered, "Going to 155 is not an option for now, dahil masyado pa akong maliit for 155. I'm staying in 145."
