MANILA--Coach Leigh Manson believes Global succeeded in turning up the heat a notch higher against Loyola.
"Without a doubt, Global stepped up," Manson said after his club blanked Loyola, 2-0, on Saturday night in the UFL Cup.

In particular, the Scottish manager expressed his delight on his team's defense that rendered its opponent goalless.
"I'm delighted that we got the three points and a clean sheet against a team like Loyola. I'm very satisfied," Manson continued.
However, he thinks this is not the level of play he wants for his team come Thursday night against Ceres.
"We probably have to go higher.... Nobody wants to lose that game," Manson assessed his team's chance against the reigning league champion.
