MANILA--Global's Izo Elhabib, Loyola's Adam Mitter and Kaya manager Chris Greatwich highlight UFL's list of dropped players as the second transfer window closed on Monday night, almost two weeks before the league season kicks off.
When the league posted its drop list a day after the UFL Cup Final on their Facebook page, a total of 85 players were dropped by their respective clubs, with Pasargad releasing 19 out of their 25-man roster, the most by any club this season.
The Sudanese striker was the most high profile in the list as he scored 103 goals for Global in all UFL competitions since he came from Kaya six years ago.
During his stint, he picked up two league titles, two UFL Cups, a PFF Smart title and a UFL Charity Cup.
Mitter, the former Blackpool trialist, has a year left on his deal with the Sparks since joining them from last year. Having played in all but one match in the cup this year.
Despite being named as manager since November of last year, Greatwich has been listed as a player in the Cup, but instead was spotted in coach's clothes throughout the tournament.
