LAS VEGAS--Manny Pacquiao officially says goodbye to the squared circle.
The former eight-division world boxing champion formally announced his retirement moments after beating Tim Bradley at the MGM Grand Arena on Sunday (Philippine Time).

"I have a commitment with my family that I'm going to retire after this [fight]," Pacquiao said during the post-fight interview with HBO's Max Kellerman.
Aside from spending more time with wife Jinkee and their children, Pacquiao, the incumbent Sarangani congressman who will run for senator in the May 9 elections, already said that he also put into consideration his political plans.

Pacquiao then expressed his gratitude to the fans who followed his road to boxing superstardom.
"Thank you to all the fans in boxing, especially to the Filipino people. I really appreciate all your help and support," he said in particular.
