TAGUIG--Damian Lillard publicly expressed his desire to have Kevin Durant joining him with the Portland Trail Blazers.
In the press conference of his one-day Philippine tour on Tuesday at the Kerry Gym, the guard said, "If there's one free agent I want to join me with the Portland Trail Blazers, it's Kevin Durant."
The Blazers, despite losing LaMarcus Aldridge to free agency last year, remained a formidable team this season, even making the West Semis with only Lillard as the legit star thanks to the vast improvement of CJ McCollum.
Lillard's statement, however, could entice the Blazers' front office to join the hot pursuit for Durant.
Lillard came to the Philippines as part of a promotional Asian tour by Adidas. He is set to go for a special event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City later Tuesday.
