MANILA--Kobe Paras will still play US NCAA Division 1 basketball after all.
In a tweet on Monday, the 6-foot-7 swingman announced that he will suit up for Creighton in the upcoming season.
I would gladly want to announce that I am taking my talents to Omaha Nebraska.#17000Strong pic.twitter.com/dv7k6LTvLc

The news came a half-month after Paras had to leave UCLA after encountering problems with his admission.

Creighton is a part of the Big East Conference, which like the Pac-12, where UCLA is a part of, annually has more than one bid to the March Madness because of the teams' strength. Villanova, the defending US NCAA champ, is also a part of the Big East.
Well-known NBA stars who came from Big East schools include Syracuse's Carmelo Anthony, Marquette's Dwyane Wade, Butler's Gordon Hayward, St. John's Chris Mullin, and Georgetown's Allen Iverson and Dikembe Mutombo.
The Blue Jays, Creighton's team moniker, also have their own share of alumni making big in the NBA in Kyle Korver and Doug McDermott, who is the school's all-time scoring leader. The latter happens to be the son of current coach Greg.
Paras is now on a task to bring Creighton back to the Madness after missing the last two editions.
