By Ricky Manliguis

SAN JUAN CITY–Perpetual Help led from start to finish as it disposed College of St. Benilde, 70-55, to cap the Tuesday games of Season 92 of the NCAA at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Bright Akhuetie scored 21 points to lead the Altas to its fourth win in six games. He also grabbed nine rebounds and swatted away four shots.

The Las Piñas-based ballclub came out smoking right from the opening quarter, and even led by as many as 20, 49-29, fueled by a 17-5 run led by Akhuetie in the third period. They never relinquished the lead thereafter.

Gab Danganon contributed 16 points for the Altas, while Prince Eze was the third double-digit scorer with ten.

The win was a follow-up to the Altas' masterful 61-55 win over reigning champions Letran last week.

The win was the team's fourth in six games as it ties Letran and Arellano just below undefeated San Beda (6-0) and Mapua (5-1). The Chiefs earlier defeated EAC in the first game.

The Blazers now lost their seventh consecutive game, their worst start in 12 seasons.

Fons Saavedra led the way for them with 15 points.
