SEATTLE--Although the two clubs representing the Philippines in TI6 have already been knocked out, there is another Filipino still on the loose for the hunt for over US$8 million.

On Friday (Philippine Time), he made sure the Filipinos will still have a reason to cheer for.

DJ Mampusti helped Malaysian-based club Fnatic move on to the Top 6 after delivering the upset ax on Liquid, 2-0, in their own Lower Bracket Round 3 meeting at the Key Arena.

Moments after TNC's dream run ended at the hands of DC, Fnatic, the lone Southeast Asian team left in the tournament, stretched their own monumental stint, as Mampusti's support of Chai Yee Fung contributed to their late Game 1 assault on the Dutch side while the team pulled an epic comeback in Game 2 for the dagger.

Yeik Zheng Nai went on a roll early in the opener, as his Ember Spirit quickly went on a Godlike streak that set the pace for Fnatic.

But just as Liquid began to solve the Ember puzzle, Chai's Luna came to work, with the help of Mampusti's Disruption that made him save a lot than buying for Manta Style, as he took over late in the game to secure the win.

Fnatic, however, came close to easily handing Liquid the Game 2 win, as Ivan Borislavov's Axe and Lars Urpalainen's Sven helped Liquid build a 25-6 lead in kills while razing the three middle lane towers of Fnatic.

However, a 4-for-1 kill exchange after a clash at Liquid's jungle that led to Borislavov and Urpalainen getting their streaks snapped started the humongous fight back by Fnatic, as Mampusti, playing Shadow Shaman, trapped Borislavov's Axe inside the Mass Serpent Wards, leaving Urpalainen's Sven all alone to carry Liquid's fight.

Fnatic then sacrificed its Tier 2 tower at the top lane to get the 5-for-0 clash exchange, further igniting the comeback.

Khoo Chong Xin then provided a highlight reel, as he pulled off a remarkable stunt as Sand King on the bottom lane.

Just as Liquid, all invisible thanks to Smoke of Deceit, prepared to wage war, Khoo activated the Epicenter and turned the potential Liquid massacre to a 5-for-1 clash win by Fnatic with Chai, now playing the Drow Ranger, credited for a triple kill, leading to the complete push of the said lane until the two barracks.

Liquid got a little momentum back after a 5-1 run plus the acquisition of the Aegis, but a 12-6 counter by Fnatic anchored upon Yeik's Queen of Pain's endgame heroic forced Liquid to call GG at the 55th minute.

Fnatic will take on MVP in the next round on Saturday (Philippine Time).
