QUEZON CITY--A week ago, Mahindra head coach Manny Pacquiao joined the team at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, inspiring the surprise PBA Governors' Cup co-leader in upsetting San Miguel.

Now, the senator-slash-multi-sport-athlete may give himself basketball playing time too.

The Enforcers activated the eight-division world boxing champion for their Wednesday night collision with the Alaska Aces in the final doubleheader before the league heads into its All-Star break.

The league announced on Tuesday that Pacquiao will suit up for Mahindra, seeking to stretch its franchise-best start to 4-0, in their game against Alaska, which started the conference pretty slow at 1-2. In the process, star point guard LA Revilla was relegated to the injured list.

The development came at the heels of an incident during practice when Revilla suffered a broken nose after an accidental elbow. Revilla is scheduled for a surgery later this week and may return to active playing with a mask on.

In a related development, Pacquiao will also replace Revilla in the PBA All-Star Blitz Game on Friday night, while Paolo Taha will be Mahindra's representative in the Skills Challenge earlier in the day.

The Enforcers and the Aces lock horns at 7 p.m., following the 4:15 p.m. curtain-raiser between sister clubs TNT KaTropa and NLEX Road Warriors. Both games will be at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
