QUEZON CITY--Phoenix kept its hopes of taking a twice-to-beat advantage in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup semifinals with a 108-83 rout of Blu-Malaysia at the JCSGO Gym on Tuesday night.

The Accelerators, who withstood a late run from the Dragons in their first meeting, made sure there would be no late drama as they romped them from wire to wire.

Mac Belo, who witnessed AMA's James Martinez breaking his PBA D-League scoring record in the first game, led Phoenix with 23 points in just three quarters.

The Accelerators now need to beat the Cafe France-CEU Bakers on Thursday at 4 p.m. at the said venue to get a better chance of nailing a Top 2 spot at the end of the eliminations, which comes with the semifinal bonus.

Juami Tiongson fired 26 points, while Kuek Tian Yuan added 21 for Blu-Malaysia, which ended its D-League stint with a 2-10 and will now shift its attention to the ABL, where they are the reigning champions.

The result effectively shattered Tanduay's hopes of getting the twice-to-beat semis edge. The team battles AMA also on Thursday at 2 p.m.
