MANILA--Stanley Pringle was feted by the PBA Press Corps for his explosion that led to GlobalPort's 98-92 stunner of San Miguel on Friday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

On Monday, the sophomore guard was named the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week after leading the Batang Pier to their second straight win of the Governors' Cup at the expense of the Beermen.

Pringle had 25 points, six of them coming in the last five minutes to keep SMB at bay, before cramps took a toll on him.

The Penn State alumnus edged Ginebra's guard combo of LA Tenorio and Sol Mercado, Meralco's Jared Dillinger, and Mahindra's Aldrech Ramos for the said weekly citation.
